Pipeline Construction Set to Begin at Pogue Airport

Thanks to a $120,000 contribution from the Sand Springs Economic Development Authority, work should begin soon on a natural gas pipeline to serve Sand Springs’ Pogue Airport.
A natural gas supply was a key component in the construction of Platinum Air, a proposed $1.9 million fixed base of operations aircraft facility at Pogue Airport.
The Sand Springs Home, which owns property around and at the airport, will build and lease the facility to Platinum Air.
The City of Sand Springs has agreed to provide property easements and clear the pipeline right of way.
The SSEDA money will be used to pay a private contractor to dig the actual 6,800-foot trench.
The airport is at 3200 N. Airport Road in Sand Springs.
