QuikTrip Expanding in Broken Arrow

QuikTrip is rapidly expanding its operations in Broken Arrow.
A third new location is planned for the northeast corner of Houston Street and Garnett Road.
The planning commission will meet tonight to consider a site plan and landscaping for the 4.02- acre site.
Planners will also talk about a minor amendment for light poles to be placed in utiility easements adjacent to street right-of-way for its new location on 2.37 acres at the northeast corner of Kenosha Street and Olive Avenue.
Meanwhile, rapid construction continues on a new QuikTrip mid-town store at Kenosha and Elm Place.
Planners will also look tonight at zoning changes for White Church Crossing, a development planned for the southwest corner of Tucson Street and Olive Avenue.
The 69-acre plot would provide for single-family residences with minimum lot sizes of 24,000 SF, which would allow for the use of septic systems.
Staff if recommending a continuance of that issue. due in part, to “large lot subdivisions with on-site sanitary sewer disposal … becoming a barrier to future sanitary sewer line extensions and urbanized development.”
