Refinery Design Done

We hear Select Engineering Inc. completed the design package for one of the first refineries built in the U.S. over the past 35 years.
Select Engineering performed the work for Interline Resources, to construct a 4,000-barrel per day oil topping refinery in Douglas, Wyo.
The Tulsa-based privately held engineering company created the drawings and calculations needed for construction, said Scott Hastings, founder and president.
The construction companies fabricating the skids and installing the piping needed for the North Cut Refinery Plant will use the drawings, Hastings said.
Construction will begin soon with an estimated completion by February.
As one of the new refineries built in the U.S. since the early 1970s, North Cut Refinery will support the administrations views for increasing refining capacity in the U.S. The refinery will produce off-road diesel and a specialty high-value gasoline product which is an essential blending ingredient for fuel grade ethanol.
The refinery is estimated to gross more than $100 million per year in revenues.
Select Engineering specializes in consulting in the energy industry, Hastings said.
“We provide engineering for the installation of processing equipment for the oil, gas and fuel ethanol industries,” he said. Select is one of the fastest growing private companies in America. The company is listed on the Inc. 500 list for 2007. ?
