Russ Florence Awarded Honorary American FFA Degree

The National FFA Organization awarded Russ Florence, of Tulsa, an Honorary American FFA Degree during the 79th National FFA Convention, held Oct. 25-29 in Indianapolis, Ind. The award is given to those who advance agricultural education and FFA through outstanding personal commitment.
Florence has a longstanding history of supporting the agricultural community and has been active in building leadership programs for youth. Florence’s nomination was approved by the National FFA Board of Directors
Not only has Florence supported the agricultural community, but as a senior vice-president of Schnake Turnbo Frank Inc., he has served two terms as president of the Tulsa Press Club, is chairman of the board for LIFE Senior Services and is a board member for Meals on Wheels and the Greater Tulsa Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He was a 2005 graduate of Leadership Oklahoma.
He is a native of Alex, OK and an alumnus of Oklahoma State University.
The Honorary American FFA Degree recognizes those who have made extraordinary long-term differences in the lives of students, inspiring confidence in a new generation of agriculturists.
