SolarWinds Moving to Austin

SolarWinds.Net Inc., a Tulsa-based provider of network management, network monitoring and network discovery software applications, has announced that the company will open an office in Austin, Texas with plans to move their corporate headquarters to the site.
SolarWinds spokesperson Susan Torrey said although the company plans to move its headquarters to Austin, it will continue to keep a presence in the Tulsa market and that the company expected no reduction in the company’s local workforce.
The company was founded in 1998 by Dave and Don Yonce and boasts more than 40,000 customers; ranging from the United States military to Fortune 500 companies.
SolarWinds has also announced that Michael S. Bennett has been named as president and chief executive officer. A 30-year veteran in the network and systems management industry, Bennett has successfully led a number of private and public high-tech companies as CEO, including Mission Critical Software until its acquisition by NetIQ Corporation in 2000, Learmonth & Burchett Management Systems and Summagraphics. Bennet will office in the company’s Austin location.
