State Chamber Announces Events in Tulsa Area

The State Chamber, Oklahoma’s association of business and industry, will feature two events in Tulsa on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
The Small Business Council will meet on Jan. 9 at 11:30 a.m. at Air Power Systems Company, 8178 E. 44th St. Larry Mocha, regional vice chairman for The State Chamber, will serve as host of the event, and Lt. Governor Jari Askins will be the guest speaker.
“The main purpose of the event is to provide a networking opportunity for those small business owners in attendance and to allow an interface with the new Lt. Governor,” said Matt Robison, vice president of small business and workforce development for The State Chamber.
Later, a legislative outlook session and reception will honor Mocha and board members from the Tulsa area. Sponsored by the Cherokee Casino and Resort, it will take place at the Tulsa Historical Society, 2445 S. Peoria. The session will begin at 4 p.m., and the reception will begin at 5:30 p.m.
“We want to know what legislative and regulatory issues are affecting businesses,” said Mark Rathe, northeastern area manager for The State Chamber. “Businesses will be able to hear from our lobby team about what to expect from this year’s legislative session.”
