Randall Stephenson today assumed the position of chairman of the board and chief executive officer of AT&T Inc.
Stephenson, 47, succeeded Edward E. Whitacre Jr. who retired from both positions today.
“Today’s AT&T is a brand-new company, with wireless at the heart of what we do, supported by an unmatched heritage of innovation and service,” said Stephenson.
