Summit Bank Expands into OKC

Tulsa-based Summit Bank opens a branch in Oklahoma City, where it has operated a loan production office since May.
Deposit production operations started at 6440 N. Avondale in the Nichols Hills Plaza, in October, said Charlie Crouse, Summit Bank president.
“We’ve successfully completed a secondary stock offering from local business leaders, are forming an advisory board from these new shareholders, and are now searching for a permanent, full service location,” Crouse said. “We hope to have our full service facility open in mid 2009, with the target location somewhere in northwest Oklahoma City.”
Summit can effectively serve the depository needs of our clients via electronic remote deposit capture, courier and lockbox services, he said.
Summit intends to target business and professional clients and anticipates success serving that niche through quality customer service, experienced and talented staff and local ownership.
“Being locally owned and managed along with the expertise our loan officers and customer service representatives bring to the table will allow us to gain quality relationships and be responsive to our customers needs,” said Crouse. “It’s our goal to be the preferred financial relationship for our clients by providing sound and creative financial solutions.”
The target businesses for Summit Bank are manufacturers, wholesalers, service companies, independent oil and gas producers, commercial real estate, and medical practices and practitioners.
“The backgrounds and expertise of our staff and management make the medical and energy industries attractive opportunities for Summit Bank,” Crouse said.
“Jeb Cook, senior vice president, is a respected commercial lender in this community and has developed a strong expertise in medical related business,” Crouse said. In addition, Summit has a successful residential real estate mortgage loan operation in Oklahoma City, which has been established for the past couple of years.
Electronic remote deposit capture allows clients to scan checks in their office for immediate deposit. This extends their banking cutoff time and they no longer have to drive to a bank location to make deposits.
Summit’s Tulsa bank is at 4314 S. Yale Ave.
