The University of Tulsa has named Stephen Rockwell as director of graduate business programs in the College of Business Administration.
Rockwell joined the TU faculty in 1998 as an associate professor in the School of Accounting and Management Information Systems. In addition to his teaching duties, he is now responsible for the College’s graduate degree programs — the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Finance and Master of Taxation. Rockwell is also in charge of marketing and promotion of the programs, developing and maintaining corporate relationships, and assisting students with obtaining internships and career opportunities.
Before joining the TU faculty, Rockwell taught at the University of Florida. He received his doctorate in accounting with a minor in management information systems from Michigan State University and his bachelor of science in accounting from the University of Utah. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Accounting Association, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the Oklahoma Business Ethics Consortium.
The University of Tulsa offers MBA and MSF programs on campus for full-time students and for working professionals who attend classes part-time. The MBA is also offered online for working professionals outside of the Tulsa area. The Master of Taxation is only offered online and attracts tax professionals from every region of the country.
