TUL Installs CNG Shuttles

Tulsa International Airport installs two compressed natural gas shuttle buses in fleet.
The shuttle buses provide transportation for visitors parking in the airport’s economy lot.
One is a standard 14 passenger bus, the other an ADA compliant shuttle that holds eight passengers with a wheel chair lift that is capable of hauling two wheelchairs.
Tulsa Airport Authority purchased the buses earlier this year as part of a pilot program to evaluate the cost savings that can be realized from operating the buses with CNG rather than diesel fuel that is used for the existing fleet.
