Tapp to Add 326,000 SF to SW Tulsa Retail Scene

Tapp Development Corporation, an Edmond-based retail developer that specializes in Wal-Mart Supercenter-anchored commercial developments, has purchased 60 acres on the southwest corner of US Highway 75 and State Highway 117 (West 121st Street South) north of Glenpool.
According to Jim Tapp, president of Tapp Development, the company plans to construct “Southwest Crossroads,” a 326,000 SF retail development, on the 62-acre site, which was purchased for a combined $6.36 million.
Southwest Crossroads will include a 196,000-SF Wal-Mart Supercenter and 130,000 SF of retail space surrounding four lakes.
The development will also include eight mixed use outparcels that could contain another 75,000 SF of retail, restaurant, medical or banking space. Four of the outparcel lots will include a back door view of a fountain filled two-acre lake.
Combined, Southwest Crossroads will include 5.4 acres of accent and detention lakes, as well as 50 acres of parking surrounding two access roads.
The company expects the project to be completed in the summer of 2008.
