Three Republicans to Join Senate Energy Panel

Three Republican senators — all from the South — will be joining the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee in the 110th Congress, which gets under way Jan. 4.
U.S. Senate Republican Leader-elect Mitch McConnell named Sens. Richard Burr, R-N.C., Jim DeMint, R-S.C. and Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., to the Energy panel as part of the Senate Republican committee assignments for the 110th Congress.
Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe was named to the Armed Services and the Environmental and Public Works panels.
Oklahoma junior Sen. Tom Coburn was named to the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Homeland and Government Affairs, Judiciary and Indian Affairs committees.
