Toby Keith made an appearance at Cherokee Casino Resort in Catoosa today to announce that his restaurant, I Love This Bar and Grill, is coming to town.
The project is currently in the design phase. Construction will begin in November with a completion date set for December 2008. The 10,000 SF bar and grill will seat about 400. The restaurant is part of the $125 million expansion at Cherokee Casino Resort, slated for completion late next year and is expected to employ 70-80 people.
The restaurant will blend a full menu, a bar and entertainment. Included in the 10,000-SF restaurant is a stage, a dance floor and multiple bars. The menu will include steak and potatoes, along with chicken fried steak, freedom fries, BBQ ribs, and other traditional Oklahoma fare.
The restaurant will be the fourth installment of the chain. The first Toby Keith’s I love This Bar and Grill debuted in Oklahoma City’s Bricktown in 2005. Restaurants at Harrah’s Las Vegas and Harrah’s Kansas City have followed.
Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill is just one piece of the $125 million expansion to break ground this summer at Cherokee Casino Resort. The bar and grill will connect with the new concert hall, providing a direct route for diners from the restaurant to the concert venue.
In addition to the restaurant and the concert hall, a 21-story hotel tower will be added, as well as space for 750 new electronic games and more banquet and convention space.
