Trebilcock Named to Energy Council

Broken Arrow State Rep. John Trebilcock was appointed to the Energy Council Jan. 6.
“I am honored by this appointment and I look forward to serving as a contributing member of the council,” said the Republican Trebilcock. “It is important that we reduce our dependence on foreign oil and examine alternate energy resources such as nuclear, wind and solar energy; biofuels; as well as our local oil sources.”
The Energy Council is a non-profit organization that promotes a balanced national energy strategy and related environmental policies. The council also assists state legislators in their policymaking efforts and promotes an understanding of energy and its role in the global economy and environment.
“The House leadership has made energy one of its priorities this legislative session and I expect that it will be for some years to come,” Trebilcock said. “I hope to contribute quite a bit to that process.”
