Tribune Loft Units to Sell as Condos

Tulsa-based American Residential Group has announced plans to transform the swanky Tribune Lofts apartments into condominiums.
The complex, which contains 35 units on six floors, is at 20 E. Archer St. The units range in size from 704 to 2,288 SF and include polished concrete floors, exposed brick walls and 10 to 14 foot ceilings. The community also offers a rooftop observation deck and controlled access covered parking.
The Brady District complex, which was completed in 2001 and has operated as a small apartment community, follows the Philtower building and Philtower LLC, which renovated and sold nine floors of the downtown building as for-sale living spaces.
According to press reports, if the conversion of the facility is well received by tenants and potential investors, the community could add a five-story, 45,000-SF, sister-structure that would add as many as 45 units. The facility, if built, could be completed by 2010.
Built in 1924 by Charles Page, the Tribune building served as home to the Tulsa Tribune until 1942 and was largely unused after 1971. American Residential Group opened the renovated building to tenants in the fall of 2001.
ARG also owns and manages eight upscale apartment communities including Tulsa’s Renaissance Uptown, Lincoln Park, Lincoln on Memorial, Woodland Park, Memorial Creek, and Villas on Memorial.
The company also owns Lincoln Greens and Deer Creek in Oklahoma City.
