‘Tulsa Hills’ Officially Breaks Ground

Ground has been broken and work progresses on Tulsa Hills, a 800,000-SF, $60 million regional shopping center being erected on 140 acres between West 71st and West 81st Streets, just east of U.S. 75.
According to the project developers, Charlotte, N.C.-based Collett & Associates, the first tenants in the shopping center will open their doors to the public in this spring.
Vendors include Target, Belks, Lowes Home Improvement, Chili’s, Best Buy, PetsMart, Lane Bryant, Famous Footwear, Marshall’s, Maurices, Rack Room Shoes, Subway, Yankee Candle, Payless Shoes, Rue 21, Starbucks, AT&T, US Cellular, GNC, UPS, Game Stop, Cartridge World, Mattress King, Touch of Sun, Golden Touch and McDonald’s.
J.C. Penny’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, Books-A-Million, Dress Barn, Buffalo Wild Wings and 30,000 SF of additional retailers will open in late 2008.
Collett & Associates and Oklahoma City-based Sooner Investment are spearheading the development of the project, which is being built by Sherwood Construction.
Carter Burgess is serving as civil engineer, while Tulsa-based Sack & Associates is the landscape architect.
