On Nov. 27, Warren CAT will officially break ground on the construction site of the new Warren CAT facility in Tulsa.
Jim Nelson, President of Warren CAT, provides insight on the new project. “Our vision is a state-of-the-art facility consistent with the world-class support we provide to our customers,” explains Nelson. “The facility will incorporate the latest in technology, safety design, environmental systems, and work flow efficiencies which will enhance our capabilities to meet customers’ needs.” The new site will be located on the North East side of Tulsa, at 3601 N. Garnett Rd., about 10 miles North East of the current Warren CAT location.
The new building is approximately 114,000 SF. and will sit on 36 acres, at the intersection of North 169 and East 36th Street North, about one mile east of Tulsa International Airport.
Warren CAT has operated from its present location at Memorial and 42nd St. since April 2002 and currently employs 130.
The new facility will maintain Warren CAT’s prime product sales, parts, and machine divisions. The store will consist of the parts warehouse, machine services division, component rebuild operations, and sales and support offices. An expanded parts warehouse will provide greater selection and availability of products for customers. Selected rebuilding operations will be maintained in a specialization shop.
Additionally, a designated hydraulics repair area will improve the capability to service Caterpillar and other manufacturers’ hydraulic components. To maintain an optimal level of productivity, the layout also includes a separate wash bay area and a utility building for welding, undercarriage, and painting services.
The grand opening of the new facility is anticipated for fall 2007.
