Warren Purchases BA Land as Heart Hospital Announces Move

The William K. Warren Foundation has purchased 97.23 acres at the southwestern corner of 91st Street and Garnett Avenue in Broken Arrow. The purchase price for the property was $10.65 million. The Warren Foundation was founded by William K. Warren and chartered in 1948.
The Warren Foundation established St. Francis Hospital in 1960 as a 275-bed hospital. In March, 2004, the Saint Francis Health System opened the Saint Francis Heart Hospital. The 52-bed, free-standing facility is located at 10501 E. 91st St. South, directly north of the foundation purchase.
BHO Inc. was the seller of the property. David Ruttman of Tulsa is listed as the registered agent for BHO.
The purchase of the property, dated Oct. 23, came days before the announcement that 141,000 SF St. Francis Heart Hospital will be consolidating operations to the main campus of St. Francis Hospital at 6161 South Yale in Tulsa.
St. Francis Health System expects the move to be made in 2008, following the anticipated opening of St. Francis Children’s Hospital. At that time, beds currently used for pediatrics will be converted to cardiac units.
Calls to the Warren Foundation and St. Francis Health Systems were not immediately returned.
