Williams Donates $25,000 For Oklahoma Disaster Relief

Williams Cos. Inc. will provide $25,000 in disaster relief following a major ice storm in mid-January that affected thousands of residents in southeastern Oklahoma.
The gift will be presented to the American Red Cross, which provided more than 56,000 meals, 28,000 snacks and 5,000 overnight stays at 28 shelters to help Oklahomans.
“This storm affected our friends in the state, as well as our own operations in several southeastern counties,” said Steve Malcolm, chairman, president and CEO. “We have so much respect for all the volunteers, relief organizations and our own employees who helped others after the storm.”
Nineteen people work for Williams in southeastern Oklahoma through an office in Quinton, located in Pittsburg County. These employees oversee more than 250 natural gas wells in the Arkoma Basin. ?
