Youth Employment Fair May 2

Mayor Kathy Taylor, Tulsa Area Rotary Clubs and Workforce Oklahoma to provide youth employment opportunities for 9th through 12th grade students living in Tulsa and the surrounding area.
The Youth Employment Fair will be held Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tulsa Convention Center, 200 Civic Center.
This high-energy one-day employment event will attract youth between the ages of 15 and 19 who are looking to find full, part-time or summer employment. Youth will be able to attend seminars prior to this event that can help them enhance their potential to acquire and maintain a job. Youth Employment Fair attendees will also have the chance to interact with professionals and participate in hands-on experiences with business exhibitors in their field of interest, including business, education, arts, science, transportation, construction, the service industry and public service.
Mayor Kathy Taylor said, “This high-energy employment event will be different from past efforts. We are targeting businesses and organizations that are uniquely able to place young people in positions of employment for future success.”
“We are committed to developing and implementing job readiness workshops at area high schools using best practices in youth employment training and helping our urban youth acquire positions of employment in the Tulsa area for future success,” Taylor added.
