Bank of America of Charlotte, N.C., today named Alan Rappaport as president of its Private Bank.
Rappaport joins Bank of America from JP Morgan Chase & Co. where he had been a managing director of Chase Investment Advisors.
The Bank of America Private Bank is part of the company’s Asset Management Group. The Private Bank, with more than $129 billion in asset, provides clients with investment management; alternative investments; specialized asset management including real estate; and online tools and information technology.
Rappaport will be located in New York. His appointment follows the naming of Richard DeMartini as head of Asset Management on Jan. 25.
