The Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas on Tuesday announced the panelists for its 16th annual Business Forecast luncheon, to be held Jan. 29, 2010.
The event, coordinated by the Walton College Center for Business & Economic Research, will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in the World Trade Center District in Rogers.
The panelists include:
- Moderator: David Wood, president and chief executive officer of Murphy Oil Corp. of El Dorado.
- International outlook: Abdul Shaikh, president, senior international economist and regional coordinator for Africa, Middle East and South Asia at the Trade Information Center at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
- National outlook: Chris Varvares, president of Macroeconomic Advisers of St. Louis.
- State and local outlook: Kathy Deck, director of the Center for Business & Economic Research.
